When did we start?
Adaptive Star LLC was founded by husband & wife team Greg & Teri Durrin in late 2007. Adaptive Star was a Company in name only for almost a year before becoming an active Company in 2009.
How did we get here?
Greg & Teri Durrin purchased the Axiom division of Dreamer Design Inc when Kuji Sports the owner of Dreamer Design Inc made the decision to close the company in early 2009.
Greg & Teri Durrin are the original founders of Dreamer Design & Marketing Inc started in 1998. Dreamer Design was a juvenile products company that specialized in jogging strollers & bicycle trailer products.
The Axiom special needs strollers were added to the Dreamer Design product line in 2004.
Greg & Teri Durrin sold Dreamer Design & Marketing Inc to Kuji Sports a Chinese based Co in 2006. Sadly Dreamer Design Inc went out of business in early 2009.
But as has been said many times, by many people "Out of bad often comes good". Good is exactly what has taken place for the Adaptive Star Company and the Adaptive Star family.
Who are we?
Adaptive Star llc has a combined 100 years of company experience designing, building and marketing mobility equipment for special needs passengers in all stages of life.
Adaptive Star llc is a Company whose foundation is built from Greg & Teri's belief in Family, Respect, Love, and Acceptance.
Our family does not include just those we share DNA with. Our family includes those who we work together with at Adaptive Star, many friends near and far, and most importantly our Axiom passengers and their families.
We believe in seeing life from a new perspective and as someone very wise taught us we believe in not letting life be defined by a diagnosis, and to provide ourselves and others the ability to make the impossible "Possible".
